One month already?!

Oh. My. Goodness.

I cannot get over how much faster time is going this time around...BabyEvie (which is one word in this house now, thanks to Fiona) is already one month old!  If it keeps getting this much faster with every kid, I think I might just have to call it quits after this.  Just kidding.  But seriously, does it?  Because that's scary.

Baptized

Evie was welcomed into the Church Sunday, March 20th!  We had a great weekend of celebration with lots of visitors, lots of food, and lots of time spent outside.  God bless Texas in March!!

I finally got a picture of Nanny with Evie.

Lili couldn't get enough of the baby.

Leah and Fiona were endlessly entertained.

Fiona was SO happy when Papa finally arrived...she'd been talking about it for weeks.

All this time spent outside reminded me how nice it would be to have a house--with an actual yard.  Thanks to everyone for putting up with our limited space.

There was lots of time spent doting on the wee babe.

I didn't quite capture it, but Evie smiled for the first time that weekend too.  She must have known what was coming.

The Godmother with her Goddaughter.

Unfortunately Luke, the Godfather, couldn't make it, but Joe did a great job standing in.  Thanks everyone for celebrating with us!!!

What we've been up to...

Helping Evie use her bouncer.

Listening to "rock 'n' roll."

Just hanging out.

Being "Ninja Fifi".

Relaxing with Dad.

Just being sweet...

...and making everyone very sleepy.

For Mom

She LOVES it.

The only place we went today was Walmart, so I figured, "Why not?"  She fit right in.  The two Tickle-Me-Elmos (battery packs removed--mean or sane, you decide) are now bed staples.  I tried to take sneak  one out, but she's no fool.  Immediately I got, "Other one Elmo?"  You can't slip one past her...

*Note:  Fiona has never seen Sesame Street.  Her great love for all things Elmo (and Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Ernie and Grover) is based solely on her diapers.  Thanks Pampers.

First Bath

Needless to say she didn't love it.  Luckily, we can now give her real baths and she loves them.

Visitors!

I am really excited about having more family living in Dallas this time around.  I don't know what I would have done without Mara when Fiona was born!  And now we have Bess and Jacob and Joe,  Becca and Leah in town too.  I'm SO happy they all get to know Evie from day one!

And it was so fun to have so many hospital visitors!

Our first house visitor was none other than Christian...bearing very much anticipated (not because I expected it, but because he'd been promising it--and dreaming of it for months) and DELICIOUS rose champagne.  Thank you!!!

Nanny came to meet Evie just a couple days after she was born, but unfortunately she got sick and her visit was suddenly cut short and I didn't manage to get any pictures.  I'll remember to get some when she comes back for the baptism. Sorry!  I think Fiona thought she just came to entertain her...and entertain she did!

And Mom/Grandma flew in and surprised me on my birthday.  It was a super short trip, but I was SO happy to see her and love that she got to meet little Evangeline before she was even a week old.

Evangeline Elizabeth

Finally arrived on Monday, February 21st!

 She's absolutely perfect.
