Darn Instagram

So I re-dedicated myself to blogging more often a whole month ago--but I have yet to add another post. Every time I've thought, "I should really put something on the blog," I have realized I couldn't quickly come up with something from the day.  But I know it used to be really easy (otherwise I would have never started blogging!)  Then I got to thinking about what has changed--has parenting become an old hat and have I become immune to thinking things my kids do/say are adorable and/or funny?

I finally realized Instagram is the culprit!  And my darn phone with a camera.  Why take the time to blog when I can capture something I like in a flash (pun not intended) with my ever-handy phone and within seconds upload it and post it on Instagram with a quick little quip that doesn't require almost any typing--or thought for that matter.

But I do want to have more thought out anecdotes than just quick little one-liners with a photo, so once again, I am going to try to dedicate myself to blogging.  Hopefully this time it will stick!

In the meantime, some things I really love right now (without pictures since I was looking to see if I had some stray photos on the good old point and shoot, but alas it is out o batteries--of course) are:

Evie's penchant for multiple breakfasts.  It's 10:00 am and she just came downstairs saying, "I wonder when I'm going to be able to have second breakfast." As our early riser, she has been known to have second breakfast regularly when Fiona wakes up--and sometimes even elevensies.  Our little hobbit.

Atticus' love of being cozy.   As soon as that little guy finds something soft, his head goes straight in for a quality snuggle.  Unfortunately, it doesn't last for any length of time--yet.  I have high hopes of one day having a little snuggle buddy.   Also, if you ask if something is cozy (whether it actually is or not) he'll put his head down on it too--like the coffee table, the floor, the pokey plastic cow from the bucket of animals.  You name it, this kid can make it look cozy.
