It's been awhile...

...so here are some things we've been up to.

We spent a lovely afternoon at the arboretum with Genny and Maggie.

I can't wait to watch these girls become good buddies!

I have been realizing how fast my baby is growing up and trying to take more advantage of watching her naked little body before all the chub and rolls go away and she becomes a full on little girl (which I'm not TOO concerned about yet because I feel like she'd need teeth to make that happen and I've barely seen a glimpse of those.)

And Fiona has been practicing her favorite sound. It means everything...literally. But the coolest thing is, I almost always do know exactly what it means in each instance (in this case "but I want to". Hey, at least she's communicating! You only get it once in this video, but multiply that times a thousand and you get a typical day in the life of Fifi Jo.

Oh, and Jon found some good uses for Fiona's high chair once she's in bed.

First Steps!

Fiona took her first steps today! Jon and I were both so excited and congratulated her so enthusiastically that I think she got confused and cried--to be fair she was also very tired.

11 months old, toothless and walking. Sweet sweet Fi.

Naptime

So I put Fiona down for a nap over an hour ago. As is typical these days, she jumped out of my arms into her bed and snuggled up to go to sleep. Obviously that didn't happen because after an hour of listening to her play happily she ultimately fussed. When I walked in the door I was greeted with a floor full of stuffed animals and 5...yes 5 nuks. I guess she started stock-piling. She's gonna be a good little sneaker...

If you see this face...

...you darn well better pucker up because it's a sure sign this is about to happen:

On another note, how is this the same kid?

I swear sometimes she looks like a completely different person. Does that happen with all kids?

Kisses

This is all my little one trick pony will do these days...

I'm hoping she'll soon realize that it's much more fun to give them to people who appreciate them.

UPDATE: If you watch this video with her, every time she hears the word "kiss" she'll look up at you to give one. *melt*

10 Months...

...and SO happy!

Where did my baby go?

Animal Crackers

In case you didn't get it from the earlier post, Fiona LOVES animal crackers.  A lot.

Try getting one of those guys away from her.
