Phoenix!

Jon, Fiona and I were lucky enough to get in one more trip to Phoenix before baby #2 arrives.  Fiona loved spending time in the warm December sun with her dear cousins and would even walk in the grass by herself by the time we left...yes, quite a feat for my little particular one.
I can't believe how old my little Goddaughter is getting.
Okay, so maybe not that old...

Fiona couldn't love her Aunt Allie more and still talks often (and fondly) of Uncle Luke despite his craziness.

Sadly, we didn't get to see much of the Burches, but we'll take what we can get.  I guess you guys will just have to make the trek out to Dallas.  Family road trip!!!

Steve and Cindy had a great Christmas party while we were there too.  We got to see their adorable new house and get Fiona prepped to spend some quality time with little Abby the next week in Boston.

It's crazy to think the next time we visit we'll be a family of four!

Jon's Birthday

It was a great day.

Nanny got him this:

He spent some time doing this:

We had a little party where Fiona and Leah got to do this:

And at the end of the night, he looked like this:

I didn't hear any complaints.
Happy Birthday, dear husband.  We love you lots and lots and look forward to many more!

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving this year!  We were so happy Sarah and Jim came all the way to Dallas (even though we don't have any pictures of them to show for it...sorry).  Fiona got a little practice in her upcoming role with sweet little James here.

Hopefully the expression on her face here isn't an indication of how she feels about having another baby around.

He's such a cute little chunck!

And we were lucky enough to get Grandma here too!  Needless to say, Fiona loved spending time with her and talked about her every day for weeks after she left.
Of course there was good food, good drink and good company.  It could only have been topped by including the Deacons, Kenneys and Jesse.  I'm sure everyone will get together again one day but for now, we'll take what we can get.

Feeling like a slacker...

In addition to my blog negligence, it's also been brought to my attention that November was the first month since she was born that Fiona didn't get on an airplane.  This whole pregnancy thing is slowing me down.

Sorry in advance #2.

Playing Catch-up

So I know I have lots of catching up to do.  Luckily we found the camera over Thanksgiving weekend, so we got some pictures with our guests then and have had lots of other activities that require their own post.

But since it's so much easier for me to post about the little things...

I went in to make sure Fiona had a blanket on after she fell asleep this afternoon since she was just in a  onesie (yes, it was 75 degrees today...but she's had a cold).  Anyway, she usually falls asleep with a NUK in her mouth and another in her hand.  This gave me hope that she might be on the road to giving them up.  Either that or she's realized its much easier to breathe through your mouth when you have a cold and just not worth trying to keep that thing in.  Either way, at least I know she can do it.

Plus she kind of looked like a little angel.
