5 months.

Yes, Evie hit the five month mark a few weeks ago, but guess what was misplaced in the move?  Yep, the camera cord.  I'm sure it will surface eventually.  Maybe I'll find it in time for six month photos.  Or maybe the missing cord will inspire me to break out the 7D and do a nice six month photo shoot...in our beautifully scorched backyard or disaster of a house.  Ok, I'll stop before I get too cynical.

SO. Far. Behind.

There's been A LOT going on at our house(s), so I'm going to do something unprecedented:  a big dump.

The Burches came through Dallas on their 2 week long RV road-trip.  We were SO happy to get to spend time with them!--even though it wasn't nearly enough.

We even got to have Jack overnight for a sleepover!  I think he was in heaven with unlimited Wii access and Star Wars talk with Jon Bird.  The sweet boy even took a break to try to teach Fiona how to play Star Wars LEGOs.

Much to my chagrin, Fiona has started wanting to pick out her own clothes.  A good exercise in letting my control go...

We went to Omaha for a quick trip for the 4th of July (Evie's first plane trip!).  Unfortunately, it was just for the day.  At least we got to see the Deacons (and meet baby Oliver!), Grandma and Uncle Jesse.

And a few days after we got back, Benjamin Michael Bird was born!!

We love him so much already, and are so excited to watch him grow!!!  So glad you guys are so close!

Unfortunately, this only takes me to mid-July, so expect another dump sometime in the near future.

Keeping Busy

Aunt Bess made Fiona this book for Christmas.  It's absolutely adorable, and I should probably take pictures of the actually book for memories sake.  (I will one day.)

I love seeing Fiona's progress whenever she rediscovers this toy.  It will keep her occupied forever, and the "help please"es are becoming few and far between.

Getting Dressed

The days of choosing what Fiona is going to wear are quickly coming to and end.  She can now mostly dress herself and is VERY opinionated when it comes to what to wear.  I admit it's pretty hard for me to not force her into looking her cutest, but have decided it's good for her and will allow anything within reason--and long sleeves in 100+ degree weather is not reasonable.

Lucky I still have Evie.  :)

Happy Father's Day!

Better late than never, right?

Splash Park

Of course, now that we're moving, Irving finally has something I like.  Not nearly as much as Fiona does, though.  We just might have to come back sometimes...

These are such a great idea...especially for people like me who are afraid to brave the pool with two kids who can't swim.

Evie had fun too--this little munchkin sure loves to be outside!
